The Farmhouse offers dedicated care for children in their primary years both before and after school, as well as a varied and engaging holiday program. This service is offered weekdays from 6.45am and to 6pm, with drop offs and pick ups to and from all Mansfield primary schools – St Mary’s Primary School, Rudolf Steiner Mansfield and Mansfield Primary School.
To provide an engaging environment for primary school children, we have designed a room with their older needs in mind (such as study desks for homework), and offer resources according to their stage of development. In the outdoors, we’ve designed a Children’s Garden just for them ! Older children play differently so we’ve a dedicated space waiting for these children to arrive from school ! With quiet spaces to relax and share friendships, lots of room to run, and even a ‘craft shed’ to allow their individual designs fly, we are committed to the primary years.
It’s true, this is pretty cool. Parent’s lives continue even when school stops, so we head out on amazing adventures to make memories. So when your child returns to school for that inevitable English writing task that starts with, “On the school holidays I…..”, then yes, there’s always something for them to write about!
It could be a Chocolatier Class at Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, learning to be a ninja warrior at a workshop in Albury, roller skating or ten-pin bowling in Wangaratta, walking up Mt Timbertop or across the Bonnie Doon bridge, going to the movies in town or riding a paddle steamer on the Murray River in Echuca. Well, you get the picture – we get out and live life !
